Heaven in the Mwodz
		Nicolas Standaert (Leuven University) WSWG 17, Leiden University Thursday 18 Sept 2003 (Session 2) Abstract Our teacher Mozi says: "...Heaven's will proclaimed: 'These men impartially care for those I care for and impartially benefit those I benefit....'" (Mozi 26) The general assumption is that "Heaven does not speak" in the Chinese early texts. Starting from this quote from the Mozi, this paper will analyse the silence of Heaven.
